Les Entrep’ is a program run by professionals to test entrepreneurship for five months. The goal is to create a fictional company in a multidisciplinary team: we carried out a market study, a sustainable canvas business model, a business plan, a media plan and everything else that revolves around our application project. During this project, I was able to take care of the creation of the bump universe, interfaces and communication on social networks.

the
concept
Bump is a dating app that allows you to create a bond around you, through music, for users of music streaming platforms wishing to meet people. The user puts his music that defines them on their profile, and thanks to geolocation, other users can “bump” them if they like their music!
Observations
We wanted to work against the “techno-cocoon” which is the fact of taking refuge on your phone to escape social interactions. We have also noticed a lack of ethics in the dating application market with a dehumanization of users. We then wondered how we could recreate social ties in everyday life through music. Three values seemed important to us to respond to these problems: proximity, inclusiveness and accessibility (compliance with RGAA standards).
Scenario
One of the scenarios can be: person 1 receives a notification “XXX is listening to the same artist as you, come pop it!” who is a nearby person, she looks at the recommended profile and can send her a bump (a music of her choice). Then person 2 receives the bump and can listen to the music they received. Afterwards, she can either start a chat conversation or meet the person outside the application.

Why bump?
The word “bump” inspired us something soft, an abstract form, this is why we chose to create a blob for the logo that could be transformed into a little mascot.
And the colors?
We thought of pastel colors and gradients, still respecting the accessibility standards. We chose to have also a dark mode because nowadays 80% of users have their phone in this mode and it helps against the eye fatigue.
The social media content & advertising
Because the goal of the program was to have a company that was financially viable, our presence on social media was really important as well as physical advertising like on bus stop. For the social media, transformed the logo into characters to give life to the project and we wanted to create a community of “bumper”.
