Nantes Métropole dans ma poche is a customizable application that simplifies everyday life thanks to more than 20 services offered: transport timetables, waste, timetables, news,... as well as geolocated information and alerts on some subjects for Nantes residents and residents of the Nantes metropolitan area. Let see what we offered to improve this application.

What is our goal?
Our goal is to attract more Nantes metropolitan residents to the application because only 30% of them are using the application, the goal being 50%.

Our version of Nantes Métropole dans ma poche includes, a personalization form thanks to centers of interest and geolocation. The new functionalities make the application collaborative with the possibility of adding new places on the map, requesting missing information, responding to these requests, completing the piece of information, and becoming an ambassador to be able to verify their information. Then, there is the “my municipality” page in which the user can find news and events from the municipality he has chosen during the departure form as well as the requests and information to verify.

Our team conducted a thorough UX UI audit of the "Nantes Métropole dans ma poche" application and identified several pain points that users experience when interacting with the app. To address these issues, we developed three user journeys to illustrate the problems and recommend the most effective solutions.

Sprint 0 🏃🏻
We first conducted competitive and technical analysis of popular apps such as Airbnb, TripAdvisor, and Google Maps. Our aim was to add more intermediaries to provide information, and we proposed several ideas, including a personalization form, customizable homepage, and additional information sections, to enhance the user experience.
Sprint 1 & 2 🏃🏻
We proposed two prototypes with personalization features and a  redesign of the app's visual identity. We also improved the app's user journeys and information hierarchy that we verified with user testing and incorporated users feedback to improve accuracy and usefulness. The result is a vastly improved app that is engaging and accurate for the citizens of Nantes.
Final sprint 🏃🏻
In the final sprint of our agile method for improving "Nantes Métropole dans ma poche", we focused on making final refinements and improvements to the app. Throughout the process, we remained committed to simplifying access to information, making it easier and quicker to find what users need, and streamlining user journeys. We also prioritized customization by highlighting relevant information and suggesting personalized options based on cross-referenced data. Additionally, we fostered collaboration ensuring that users can have access to more information.
